New Ultrasound

So as many of you know, we had another ultrasound today. Everything is great with the baby. Actually, "perfect" is the word the doctor used. She is healthy and measures in the 47th percentile in weight. Krista's cervix is a little thin, but not so much that the doctor is worried about early delivery. Over all, everything looks good. We have another checkup in 2 weeks and then we go to weekly visits. Regarding the pictures today, we have a nice surprise for you. The technician pushed the special 4-D button that generates the 3-D images (yeah, silly terminology, I know). So we have 3-D pictures of Emma's face and hands. In the first two it is quite obvious where her face is. You can see her eyes, nose, chin, mouth, and her chubby little cheeks. The next two are a little more difficult. She is facing the "camera" in these two (she actually looks kind of like a pig due to shadowing in the image). Right in front of her face are her hands. You can even see her fingernail in one image. The last two are profiles of her face. In general, the images are not as clear as the last ultrasound because she is kind of running out of space. As for positioning, she is already head down and very low. Her head is basically resting on Krista's cervix at this point. It's not a bad thing, just something to pay attention to.

Our favorite shot of Emma Ruth blown up a little so you can see her better.

This is an update shot of Krista from today showing some impressive belly growth.
