Week 13

Sorry guys. I should have started posting again much earlier. I didn't forget. I just got a little lazy. Things have been quite busy at work as well, but since this a baby blog I won't bore you with details here (other than to say Krista has completed her dissertation!). So we are now at week 13. We have officially entered the second trimester. That's a great relief. The first trimester carries the most risk. At this point the risk of problems drops off quickly. Everything is going smoothly so far. We have had no more complications since the bleeding Krista had a while back. This month we start heading back to the doctor more often. We are scheduled for a checkup on the 10th and have another ultrasound on the 30th. Krista hasn't really gained any weight yet. She's only up a few pounds at this point, but there is a definite baby bump. It's not real big yet, but we're getting there. The picture below is not of our baby but shows what week 13 looks like. Our baby should be around 2.9 inches long and weighs about .8 ounces (or the weight of 4 quarters).
